The Brahmaputra River is one of the major rivers of Asia. It flows across Tibet through the Himalayas, through Bangladesh into the Ganges Delta where it merges and finally empties into the Bay of Bengal. The Brahmaputra River is important in the region for transportation as well as irrigation.
